Hunting at Mount Airy

Mount Airy consists of 1400 acres of farmland, tidal marsh and native grassland mixed with stands of softwoods and hardwoods situated along the banks of the pristine Catpoint Creek, a tributary of the Rappahannock River and part of the Chesapeake Bay basin in the Northern Neck of Virginia. Known throughout the mid-Atlantic for its excellent duck and goose hunting, the marshlands of Catpoint Creek are an excellent spot to hunt waterfowl along the Eastern Flyway. The Northern Neck also has some of the best Eastern turkey habitat anywhere and Mount Airy farm holds plenty of them; as well as, large numbers of white-tail deer, bobwhite quail, bald eagles, blue herons, coyotes and the occasional black bear.

Waterfowl Hunt Club

We are a private waterfowl hunt club of dedicated hunters committed to family, wing-shooting and the outdoors. Membership is completely full for the current hunting season but we are accepting inquiries for next year’s club.

A waterfowl hunt at Mount Airy is a fun and historic shooting experience on the grounds of one of Virginia’s oldest private family estates.
